Children's Music and Play / Youth Connection: Joining Our Voices, Aug 11-15 - Community Life

Grades 1-12 ♦ M-F 9:30 am – 12:30 pm

Register all children and youth (Grade 1 through Grade 12) under a single program. Age-appropriate groupings will be determined each week based on the ages and number of registrants.

The Naramata children’s music program is sure to be a hit with your child! Half of the morning is a fast-paced, action-packed, music session. Together we will sing, move and play percussion instruments with a delightful array of songs, rhymes and dances intended to spark the joy of music within your child. Through children’s choral repertoire we will develop confidence in our singing voices with opportunities for unison and two part singing. In the other half of the morning, summer staff leaders leaders nurture children’s spirits through creative and imaginative play, storytelling, art-making, songs, inclusive games, and more. Enroll your children to be together in community learning how to sow the seeds of lasting friendships.

Whether you’re a teen who’s been singing in choir since you were a toddler, or are just now finding your voice, we can’t wait to sing with you. Youth will explore the amazing thing that happens when we join our voices together – wonderful music emerges! In half of our time together, summer staff leaders will guide outdoor activities, creative games, art-making and just hanging together. We build this week around you. So leave any negative pressures behind, bring your ideas and come have fun in an inclusive community that values all that you are.
Note that we will group children based on age, with exact guidelines determined by the number and age of registrants for the week.
