Gathering Words for Winter IV
With Tim Scorer
October 31 - December 5, 2023
Now that the fall harvest is in…
we can give ourselves to the winter months of Earth rest. Our bodies will be sustained through the time of hibernation, but what of our souls? What sustenance will we choose for the season when the ancient ones call us into the world where story, myth and poetry are a sustaining power? Let’s take time these five Tuesday evenings to gather poems to take with us this winter. Let’s follow the threads of five themes and see what poets show themselves as our guides for these colder months. Let’s prepare to be surprised by the poetic instincts that rise in us when we take time to read poetry, share insights, and gather words for winter. No previous participation in poetry groups is required.
Poems for each Tuesday evening will be sent out ahead of each session.
This event is offered through the partnership of
Pacific Jubilee and Naramata Centre
Bursary funds are available through Naramata Centre.
