Come join in the fun! In this age of technology, the notion of sending a postcard has gotten lost! You will be creating postcard-size works of art that can be snail-mailed to someone special – this could include yourself! Students are encouraged to discover their own personal style with an emphasis on having FUN! (of course!)

Supply list for Postcards – With Love From Me to You.

  • paper – watercolor or watermedia paper or good quality journal paper. If you are not using watercolor, please have a good weight of paper to work on – heavier than printer paper -something that can be handled a bit – like watermedia paper or good journal paper. A good paper size is 6 x 8 and/or 5 x 7. Ideally, your paper would be heavy enough to mail on its own, otherwise, you will need to put it in an envelope for mailing.
  • extra regular printer paper for working out designs on and making notes
  • pencil, eraser, ruler or other straight edge
  • fine-tipped, waterproof marker – like a sharpie
  • The colouring can be done with any of the following that you may already have on hand: coloured markers, watercolour, crayons, watercolour pencil crayons
    • Watercolours (if you are using them) whatever you already have – OR a decent watercolour travel kit works well.
    • If you are using watercolour, you will also need a small brush or waterbrush, water basin, paper towel, etc.
    • a few references from your travels or magazines, or directly from your amazing imagination.
    • stamps IF you are mailing your creations!
