Renee Matheson

Renee Matheson has deep roots in Naramata as her great grandfather John Moore Robinson was the founder of Naramata, Summerland and Peachland. She grew up and was educated in Vancouver and spent her summers and every chance possible at The Naramata Inn which at the time was the home of her extended Robinson family. Renee moved to Naramata permanently many years ago with the intention of saving the old family hotel from being torn down. She was able to get heritage designation for it as it stands now with the new owners. Her journey and experience has mainly been focused on being an artist all her life. She spent 7 years studying, painting and sculpting in a Mexican City called San Miguel Allende. She is a certified yoga instructor teaching for over 30 years and has studied child psychology among other philosophies through various instructors. Renee has owned and operated a gallery in Penticton for the last 6 years and continues to work as a professional artist. She also teaches yoga and facilitates various workshops relating to Inner Discovery.
