Slow Flow Yoga (SOLD OUT)

Slow Flow Yoga offers gentle exercises and postures to stretch and strengthen all major muscle groups and improve joint mobility. Individual needs and varying fitness levels are addressed in the classes. Postures can be performed at different stages of intensity so that everyone can participate. The use of props like straps, blocks and chairs encourage a safe and gentle practice. Breathing, meditation and inspirational readings are included in the classes.

Pottery:Express Yourself With  Clay (Dennis Evans)

Ages 12+
Monday – Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 12 noon
$240 + $50 materials fee

Pottery: Express Yourself with Clay is a week long pottery experience by local Naramata artist Dennis Evans. During this program you will be exploring all the processes which go into taking a piece of clay and turning it into your own individual pottery piece. Class will include hand building, Glaze techniques, clay decoration.

Learn to Play Ukulele (Yanti Rowland)

Ages 12+ (or children under the age of 12, if accompanied by an adult)
Monday – Friday, 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
$60 + $10 materials fee

Yanti is pleased to announce that she will teach new students how to play ukulele this summer at the Naramata Centre. For five days this week, join Yanti for a power-packed hour, as you learn the basics of ukulele and launch yourself into the world of ukulele playing.  Perfect for teachers, parents, teens, grandparents and anyone else interested in learning to accompany yourself on ukulele.  Yanti’s group ukulele classes are designed for members to engage with one another while learning to connect to their own creativity, discipline and fine motor skills within the comfort of the Naramata Centre.  Yanti devotes a portion of almost every class for memory work, stretching and body mechanics.  Her music selection reflects the interests of her students and her teaching style involves the memorization and application of ukulele chords through practice tools and sheet music. This is her third year teaching ukulele at the Naramata Centre and is back by popular demand.

Building Together (Scorer Family)

Join us in making and playing through the theme of Building Together! If you are interested in creating micro houses, towers, marble runs and more, we would love to have you be a part of our week!

Creation’s Medicine: Making Remedies & Calming Crafts (Rae-Marie Leggott)

Ages 6 – 106
Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – noon
$300 + $50 materials fee

Gather fresh plants and learn the art of making herbal medicines and calming crafts in this hands-on course! You will learn about a variety of medicinal plants and will make an assortment of plant creations to take home with you – one or more crafts per day! You will also take home a handbook with instructions so you can make them at home! Come enjoy a relaxing, hands-on program full of delightful scents and creations!

Possible creations include: Lavender calming creations (wands, dryer bags, syrup); herbal infused medicinal tinctures, oils, and salves; herbal infused honey, etc.

Parents: Please note we will be using a stove-top to make some of our creations!
